P800 Purple Ceramic Foam Abrasive Roll is a roll-form coated abrasive suitable for hand sanding, contour sanding, pre-painting preparation, and surface finishing.
This product features a purple ceramic abrasive surface, a latex paper backing, and a foam backing. The rolls are supplied in 115 mm × 25 m dimensions. They can be cut into strips, patches, shims, and various shapes for use on curved parts, edges, contours, repair areas, and coated surfaces.
The foam backing is specifically designed for handheld use and sanding blocks. This version does not feature hook-and-loop backing or pressure-sensitive adhesive (PSA).
P800 belongs to the fine-grit series covered by the ISO 6344-3 standard, which encompasses coated abrasive P-grade products ranging from P240 to P5000.
Designed for fine surface preparation, coating refinement, contour sanding, and cut-to-length conversion across automotive, woodworking, industrial coating, plastic, and composite applications.
Suitable for fine sanding stages before refinishing, blending, clear coat repair, and final coating operations.
Supports controlled fine sanding on coated wood surfaces, furniture edges, cabinet profiles, and shaped components.
Foam backing helps create more controlled contact when sanding shaped, curved, or irregular surfaces.
Suitable for fine surface conditioning before coating where a stable, controlled scratch pattern is required.
The roll format supports flexible manual sanding and conversion into fixed-length abrasive pads for workshops, distributors, and OEM programs.
P800 is commonly used for fine preparation, sealer sanding, blend-area refinement, and coating-related sanding before paint or clear coat application.
A layered abrasive roll structure combining ceramic grain, resin bonding, latex paper backing, foam support, and a paper core for flexible fine sanding.
Ceramic abrasive grain for sanding contact.
Resin system for abrasive grain retention.
Latex paper for flexible support of the coated abrasive layer.
Foam backing for pressure distribution and profile conformity.
Paper core for storage, dispensing, and cut-to-length conversion.
Each layer performs a different function during sanding, helping the roll maintain stable abrasive contact while adapting to curved surfaces and hand pressure.
The ceramic abrasive grain contacts the workpiece and performs fine sanding, surface preparation, and coating refinement.
The resin bond system helps keep abrasive grains securely anchored during use.
Latex paper supports the coated abrasive layer while maintaining flexibility for roll handling and hand sanding.
Foam backing distributes hand pressure and follows curves, contours, edges, and shaped workpieces during sanding.
